14. Cycling the Future

Cycling is the most efficient way to carry one’s body from a given point to another by using only its own energy. Learning how to cycle is a huge task for children. Forces have to be applied and forces apply. Though there is no need for them to conserve angular momentum, children develop the feeling for it while cycling and falling. For the physical point of view bicycles are most interesting objects for studying basic aspects as well as performing difficult modeling objectives. We will tell you more about physical aspects being involved – for example when you are going down a hill at 40 miles per hour. We will also look to the cultural aspects of cycling throughout the world. And – because everyone should be able to carry his/her date without a car – we are looking for the most appropriate way to transport your favourite with you on your bike.
